The federal cabinet agreed that beginning in January, a rationing programme would be implemented, with individuals earning less than Rs31,000 per month receiving a 30% subsidy.
Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, informed the media on the federal cabinet meeting, which was presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan, and answered reporters’ questions.
He said the cabinet was given a comparison briefing on the pricing of vital commodities, and it turned out that the Sensitive Price Index (SPI) has been trending downward for the past two weeks.
