PM Imran Khan announced monthly a stipend of Rs. 21,000 for religious leaders in KPK

During a ceremony in Peshawar, Prime Minister Imran Khan officially launched a stipend scheme for prayer leaders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Officials claimed that the plan was created to meet the financial needs of religious leaders who typically do not have any other source of income. After issuing the checks, the prime minister addressed a crowd, saying, “We aspire to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state, for which we have been striving for the last 25 years.”

Pakistan’s election regulatory board warned the premier hours before his arrival in Peshawar against breaking the election code of conduct, as the province is set to hold local body elections in the coming days.
