According to a fresh source, China ordered Amazon that it will erase any comments and reviews connected to “The Governance of China,” a collection of Xi’s speeches and writings.
Amazon agreed. It’s yet another example of a US company caving to Chinese pressure in order to continue doing business in the vast and expanding Chinese market.
According to a Reuters article citing two persons familiar with the case, the official order was issued two years ago but had never been made public.
There are no reviews or star ratings for the book on Amazon sites visited from within China.
