On Tuesday, a boat carrying 35 school pupils and four teachers capsized at Khanpur Dam.
When the incident occurred, a group of schoolchildren and their teachers had come to the Khanpur Dam for recreational purposes.
According to rescue sources, all 35 children have been rescued from the dam and transported to a hospital, where four children’s conditions are stated to be critical, and the body of a teacher has also been retrieved out of the dam.
According to rescue sources, the boat capsized owing to overloading, and the disaster could have been avoided if the administration had paid attention to the situation.
