As per recent news, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a new flight schedule for various tourist destinations including Gilgit and Skardu.
The national flag airline said that the flights will begin from Balochistan’s Kech area to Turbat city. From February 26, the airline will operate flights from Quetta to Turbat.
It may be noted here that in January 2021, the airline chose to operate flights between Turbat and Sharjah. According to the spokesperson, ATR planes will be employed for flight operations between Turbat and Sharjah.
However, the decision was made to make it easier for citizens to travel to mountainous areas.
In addition, to promote tourism in the northern areas, PIA will resume flights from Lahore and Karachi to Gilgit and Skardu.
