CDA (Capital Development Authority) is considering constructing a state-of-the-art cricket stadium and a five-star hotel in the Margalla Range foothills.
During a news conference on Tuesday, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed disclosed that the CDA has been given permission to begin the tendering process for the stadium and the world grade hotel.
“I have directed CDA Chairman Aamir Ahmed Ali to begin the process of building an international-standard stadium and hotel in the capital.” The tendering procedure would begin soon, according to the interior minister.
When ‘The News’ contacted Naveed Elahi, a member of the Planning CDA, he claimed that a few sites were being considered for the stadium’s development.
