On Monday morning, PM Shehbaz Sharif opened the Orange Line metro bus route from Peshawar Morr to Islamabad, just days after taking office as the new prime minister.
PM Shehbaz had ordered work on this project to resume as soon as he took office as Prime Minister.
“The former prime minister is panicking because I was elected representative… During his inauguration address in the federal capital, I will work at the pace I am used to,” Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said.
“You [Imran Khan] may be panicking about my work speed, but people have stopped panicking.
The Prime Minister lamented the four-year delay in bringing the project, launched in 2017 by the PMLN government under Nawaz Sharif, into operation.
