Construction work on Chitral-Shandur Road Begins After 40 Years

The construction work on Upper Chitral and Shandur Road was turned over to the National Roads Authority after 40 years of federalization, bringing happiness and joy to the area’s people.

About 40 years ago, Booni Road was built by a Chinese construction company, but the Ministry of Communications and Works did not expect any work on this road.

The NHA has been contracted to build and work, proceeding with great determination.

Furthermore, the construction of these roads would lead to a reduction in the number of accidents by providing transportation for people. Still, it will also play an essential role in developing the tourism sector in this backward district.

According to the official statement, the overall length of this roadway under the National Highway Authority NHA’s control is 153 kilometres, with a width of 42 feet.
