On Saturday, Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar reported that he would embark on a Hajj trip as a state guest of Saudi Arabia.
“Alhamdulillah will perform the honorary Hajj as a state guest of Saudi Arabia,” the former Pace said in a tweet while posting a photo of himself in Ihram, the pilgrim’s attire.
Shoaib Akhtar also revealed that he would address the Hajj conference and other Muslim leaders in Mecca.
The former cricketer and analyst thanked the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan for the arrangements that made the trip possible.
