Ski Resort to be Established in Swat, Chitral and Kaghan

To develop ski resorts in Swat, Chitral and Kaghan has been planned by the province, confirmation received by a spokesman for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government’s Cultural and Tourism Authority, Saad Khan.

He added further that two ski resort are planned to be built, one in Abbottabad and the other one on Chitral.

Tracks:
As per Saad Khan, the Dagri Bangal-Meeranjani-Nathiagali track, the Thandyani-Biringali track and the Kaghan-Mahmnoor track from Shinkyari to Kund Bangla,Shaheed Pani Nadai Bangla, and then to Musa Ka Musllaha are four 8,200-foot-high, colonial-era tracks between Thandyani and Nathiagali that are being built.

Modernization of Waterfalls:
He further acclaimed that waterfalls are the main attraction for the tourist, the government would modernize to uplift the ecotourism in the area. The Chajjan Haripur, Jarogo Swat, Lamchar, Lanchar Dir, Noori, Sajikot, and Umbrella waterfalls are need to be developed.

Integrated Tourism Zones:
Tauseef Khalid, project director of the KP Integrated Tourism Development Project said that tourism will not burgeon until and unless we encourage worthwhile and planned tourism as per worldwide standards.

A loan grant of $70 million against the creation of four Integrated Tourism Zones (ITZ) in Mankiyal Swat, Thandyani Abbottabad, Ganol Manshera, and Madaklasht Lower Chitral from World Bank is the notable province’s initiative step to encourage and burgeon tourism.
