Pakistan might face a loss of up to $2 to $3 Billion due to the non-auctioning of 5G up until December this year. The world is going at a very rapid speed in terms of Technology but Pakistan is still lacking behind.
Preparations were made to introduce 5g, IT Ministry and Telecommunication authorities imported a Massive amount of equipment for the networks. Rules and Regulations were set by IT Ministry but it didn’t proceed.
The Major reason for the delay according to sources is the Finance Bill of 2022 where they didn’t mentioned any incentive of 5g. The Advisory Committee has decided to skip 5g for now.
