Muslims all over the world on Tuesday will be able to spot the Qibla simply by facing the moon as it will align directly above the Holy Kaaba at Makkah.
The astronomical society in Jeddah stated that the moon will appear perpendicular to the Kaaba on the night of Jamadi al-Awwal 12, 1444 at 11:06 pm Makkah time, and it can be seen with the naked eye.
Engineer Majed Abu Zahra, the chairman of the Jeddah Astronomical Society, predicts that the moon will set just over the Holy Ka’aba and will be 98% brighter than usual.
Men and women circumambulated (tawwaaf) the Holy Ka’aba in devotion.
