Gold Became $30 Cheaper in the World Market, Rs. 500 More Expensive in Pakistan

The price of per tola 24 karat gold increased by Rs500 to Rs171,400 on Thursday against its sale at Rs170,900 during the previous day.

The rates of 10-gram 24 karat gold also increased by Rs429 to Rs146,948 from Rs146,519 whereas the price of ten-gram 22 karat gold went up to Rs134,702 from Rs134,309, All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association said.

The price of per tola and ten-gram silver remained unchanged at Rs1990 and Rs1706.10 respectively.

The price of gold in the international market decreased by $30 to $1878 compared to its sale at $1808, the association reported.

Gold price in the local market is heading towards its all-time high of Rs162,500 per tola recorded on July 28.

In the international market, the price of the yellow metal declined by $3 per ounce settling at $1,756 following hawkish comments from Fed officials James Bullard and John Williams.
