Sarfraz Ahmed Becomes Pakistan’s Leading Test Run scorer Among Wicket Keepers

Following his remarkable return in the first Test against New Zealand, Sarfaraz Ahmed added another feather to his cap by becoming Pakistan’s top run-scorer among wicketkeeper-batters in Tests. Sarfaraz Ahmed eclipsed Kamran Akmal on the list with his 86-run effort in the 50th Test match of his career, accumulating 2743 runs. After a four-year absence, the 35-year-old returned to the national Test squad.
In 2019, he played his final Test against South Africa.

On the first day of the first Test, the wicket-keeper batter stood for a good 194-run partnership with batting master and team skipper Babar Azam as the two overpowered the Kiwi bowlers.
