According to reliable sources, Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman signed the summary for the dissolution of the Provincial Assembly on Saturday.
On the recommendation of Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, Governor Punjab signed the summary. Soon after the governor consults with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the matter, a notification notifying the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly would be released.
Punjab’s chief minister, Pervaiz Elahi, requested the dissolution of the provincial assembly in a summary and advice letter written to Balighur Rehman, the province’s governor, two days ago.
I Parvez Elahi, chief minister of Punjab, hereby advise you to dissolve the provincial legislature, Pervaiz Elahi wrote in the notification he sent to the governor.
