30% to 50% of Pakistan’s Textile Industry Completely or Partially Closed: Report

“30 to 50% of the textile sector has been shut down totally or partially” Pakistan’s textile export goal for this year won’t be attained.


According to the details, a concerning revelation has been made regarding the fall in the textile industry’s exports, which makes up the largest portion of the nation’s exports.

The goal of 25 billion dollars in textile exports will not be met, according to Hamid Zaman, chairman of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTAMA) North Punjab. There will be 16 or 17 billion dollars in textile exports compared to the target.


He said that between 30 and 50 percent of the textile sector had been closed entirely or in part.
