The Sindh Police launched the “Talash” application in Hyderabad on Saturday in response to the rising crime rate in the metropolitan centre to track down criminals.
At the entry and departure points to Hyderabad, police officials are presently screening passengers using this app, according to Aleena Rajpar, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Cantt Hyderabad.
She continued by saying that the programme has the capacity to save information on more than 1.5 million criminals across the province.
According to her, this has made it possible for the police to verify wanted criminals using fingerprint data.
The project is useful because, in the event that obtaining information from a suspect is time-consuming or challenging, all criminal records will be revealed with a single tap.
