Fakhar Zaman, the left-handed opener for Lahore Qalandars, on Monday passed Babar Azam to become just the second player in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history to score 2,000 runs.
With his fantastic 50, Fakhar reached the milestone in the PSL 8 curtain-raiser that just got started.
The left-handed batter smacked three boundaries and five sixes while scoring 66 runs off of 42 deliveries.
His 66-run innings not only helped him reach the 2000-run mark but also overtook Kamran Akmal to go up to the position of second-highest run-scorer in league history.
With 64 innings played, Fakhar has now collected 2005 runs at an average of 31.82, with 17 fifty-run scores and a century.
