Due to oil refineries’ warnings of an impending gasoline crisis and changes in gasoline pricing on the international market, the coalition government is likely to increase the price of petroleum goods by up to Rs 20 per liter in the approaching fortnight.
According to reports, calculations based on the price of petroleum products on the global market led to an increase in gasoline prices.
The rumors alarmed people as Last month, the Sharif-led government implemented a significant 35-rupee per-liter price rise, raising the cost of gasoline, high-speed diesel, kerosene, and light-speed diesel to Rs249.80, Rs262.80, Rs189.83, and Rs187, respectively.
The fuel price was set at Rs50 per litre, while the general sales tax (GST) has not yet been implemented.
