PTCL (Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited) has revealed their profit for the year 2022 was calculated Rs9 billion
On the other hand, Ufone has recorded a loss of more than Rs1 billion/month during the same span of time.
During the financial year 2022, PTCL recorded double-digit revenue growth of 10.2% to Rs151.6 billion.
The firm recorded a 8.6% growth in its revenue to Rs83.4 billion from January 2022 to December 2022, the highest in its history.
Whereas, the main revenue earning segments of PTCL, FTTH (Fibre-To-The-Home) and the voice and wireless broadband recorded a downfall because of the customers converting to internet-based voice services and competition from cellular operators.
However, the total profit of PTCL was Rs9 billion, the highest since 2013, and 31.7% higher as compared to last year.
On the contrary, Ufone recorded 7.1% raise in its revenue while the The U Microfinance Bank achieved 35.4% raise during financial year 2022.
