According to details, government has decided to raise the Hajj sponsorship quota for overseas Pakistani nationals from 25% to 50%.
The decision tool place in a huddle between Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Religious Affairs Minister Abdul Shakoor.
The overseas nationals would avail 50% quota in the Hajj scheme of government 2023, by paying in US dollars.
“It was decided in principle to fix the quota of sponsorship Hajj scheme at 50 percent, instead of the previously proposed 25 percent, to meet the requirements of foreign exchange during the Hajj this year,” as epr State-owned APP (Associated Press of Pakistan).
