Pakistan Army Opened Snow- Covered Burzil Pass for Traffic

As part of its unmatched national service, the Pakistan Army opened the snow-clad Burzil Pass for traffic after many strides by the troops in biting cold weather. Be it natural calamities or emergencies, the armed forces are the first on the scene whenever the nation is in need.

Burzil Pass is located 178 kilometres from Gilgit. It is an important checkpoint for both the Pakistan Army and the people.

The pass, which is 13,808 feet above sea level, is always covered in snow from October through April. It connects the region’s 15,000 residents and 61 communities with the only route. Every year, between 50,000 and 60,000 automobiles travel via Burzil Pass. Due to a lot of snowfall this year, the pass was closed in January and February.

The Pakistan Army has finally permitted public access to the Burzil Pass, which was previously buried in snow. With temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees Celsius, the soldiers toiled assiduously to open the route. The locals expressed their gratitude to the Pakistan Army for their tireless efforts.
