Ryan Goodnight, director of global licensing and market activation at SpaceX, and Syed Aminul Haq, federal minister of information technology and telecommunication, met to discuss the registration of Starlink by SpaceX in Pakistan.
According to the Minister, Starlink is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
The meeting’s goal was to explore whether Pakistan’s affordable broadband services may be made possible by Starlink’s quickest and least expensive satellite internet services.
The Minister expressed hope that Starlink’s services may significantly reduce the operational costs of telecom carriers, especially in remote areas where inactive mobile towers might be affordably activated.
