The nation’s highest civil honour has been given to Pakistani captain Babar Azam for his outstanding services to the nation’s cricket.
The right-handed batsman, who is only 28 years old, is the youngest cricketer to get the Sitara-e-Imtiaz award for great performance in the sport.
The flamboyant batter received the civil award from Punjab Governor Baligh Ur Rehman during an investiture ceremony held at the Governor House as part of Pakistan Day celebrations.
