Have anyone heard about “inflatable” homes? Yes, you got it right and it might sound unusual but we all are well known with 3D-printed homes and they are ultimately quick and habitable.
Automatic Construction’s inflatable homes are at the initial stage of their process. Whereas, the project is promising.
These homes are built by filling cement inside a balloon-like structure. While, CEO and co-founder Alex Bell’s target is to have reinforcing elements like rebar and tension cables pre-installed inside the forms eventually.
As stated in the Singularity Hub, Bell named his system “Inflatable Flexible Factory Formwork.”
