Tencent Cloud, a Chinese company, has introduced a new platform that allows the creation of digital human replicas that can be utilized for answering live broadcast queries, among other purposes.
For a fee of $145, these high-quality digital replicas can be produced within just 24 hours, thus enabling Tencent to offer a “Deepfake-as-a-Service” (DFaaS) solution, as per The Register.
Although the use of generative artificial intelligence has already caused concerns regarding the difficulty in distinguishing fake content from real content, Tencent is advancing the technology further with its latest offering.
