ChatGPT to Introduce Real-Time Web Browsing to Compete with Google Bard

OpenAI has upgraded ChatGPT by introducing new plug-ins that allow real-time browsing, producing strong competition for Google Bard. Previously, ChatGPT could only provide the data on the internet until 2021. However, the new plug-ins now enable provision of current information as well as interaction with websites like Expedia, Kayak, Zapier, OpenTable, and Klarna Shopping.

Moreover, ChatGPT now also provides citations with information provided, certainly a true achievement. At the present time, this feature is available to only ChatGPT Plus users.

OpenAI stated that they are delighted to launch plugins and web browsing, “marking transition from alpha to beta”. This updated feature enables ChatGPT access to an array of more than 70 third-party plugins.

In a video, a user asks ChatGPT to find a recipe and order its ingredients, the chatbot effortlessly finds the ingredients and makes a list of shopping services.
