The captain of Pakistani cricket team, Babar Azam has recently become the fastest cricket batsman to reach 2,000 runs in T20 international format. He has achieved this milestone by accomplishing this feat in only 52 innings.
Pakistan Cricket Board- PCB has also congratulated Babar Azam via Twitter while tweeting, “The brilliant Babar Azam bags another record.”
The ICC- International Cricket Council has also congratulated him for this big achievement.
However, the Foreign Office also congratulates him for making this new record. Babar Azam became the 11th player to score the 2,000 T20I runs whereas; he also took another record right from an Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who had previously held this record for scoring 2,000 runs in overall 56 innings.
