Dubai has initiated an online system for making permits and control services to make the procedure convenient for customers. The initiative is meant to fortify Dubai’s status as a global state adopting the latest technologies.
The process is oriented with the Dubai Building Code and a part of their efforts to strengthen the Dubai global status. It will ensure smart integrated solutions for automated checks through Building Information Modelling (BIM). It is a digital depiction of functional and physical characteristics of a building’s infrastructure.
With this new initiative, the quality of building permits and control procedures will be improved, enhancing the country’s competitiveness. The Director General of Dubai Municipality Dawoud Al Hijri stated that he is pleased to start this new platform which will improve the smooth functioning of services, customer experience, and reduce the time as well as costs in refining the overall services.
