A ship carrying 100,000 tons of crude oil from Russia to Pakistan arrived in Egypt last week, joining a long line of ships preparing to transit the Suez Canal, cross the Mediterranean Sea, and enter the Red Sea before arriving at the Pakistani port of Port Qasim.
A government official told Jung Akhbar that the Suez Canal is a very busy passage for trade between Europe and Asia.
A Pakistani crude oil ship will also remain in Oman, bringing 50,000 tons of crude oil in a small ship to Karachi’s Port Qasim.
This small ship will transport the remaining 50,000 tons of crude oil to Pakistan in about ten days.
Russian crude oil will be refined and made usable in a Pakistani refinery.
