Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the Minister for Interior in Pakistan, has unveiled a plan to establish a dedicated market exclusively for women in the capital city, Islamabad. The purpose of this initiative is to empower women by providing them with opportunities to run their own businesses and contribute to the country’s economy.
In a meeting with the Islamabad Women Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI), the minister announced that the necessary facilities for women entrepreneurs would be available by October 30. He emphasized the importance of women’s involvement in economic activities and encouraged them to actively participate in all aspects of life.
The minister also revealed plans to establish a new university for women in Rawalpindi in the near future, highlighting the inspiring achievements of a young woman who succeeded in competitive exams despite coming from a humble background. This underscores the significance of education for women.
