According to details, the government has decided to make additional sales tax on imported luxury items a part of the federal budget.
Sources said that by maintaining sales tax of 25 percent on budget luxury items, revenue of Rs 45 to 55 billion is expected.
Sales tax on imported electronics items will also remain at 25 percent.
Sources said that the sales tax on imported makeup goods for women, imported lipstick, mascara, face powder, imported straightener for hair, roller, dryers, imported colors, dyes and extensions for hair, imported hair promotion cream, bleach cream and hair vitamins will remain unchanged at 25 percent.
Sales tax on imported pet food, imported branded shows, imported brand purses for women, imported shampoo, soap and lotion will also remain at 25 percent.
Apart from this, sales tax on imported shaving cream, shaving gel, imported sunglasses and perfumes, imported private weapons, imported brand headphones, iPods, speakers, imported travel bags, suitcases will remain at 25 percent.
