“I’m at a Point in my Life Where I am at Peace”: Wasim Akram

The legendary former Pakistani cricketer, Wasim Akram says that he is at a point in his life where he is happy and at peace. The former captain and fast bowler, in an interview, shared his thoughts about his cricket era, the exceptional competitors, and his views about test matches, T20, and ODI.

Wasim Akram believes that test cricket has significant importance in the long-term future of cricket. He stressed quality over quantity in cricket and acknowledged the financial benefits and entertainment value of T20 matches.

Wasim Akram also remembered his period of cricket with talented megastars like Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Viv Richards, Brian Lara, and Imran Khan, expressing that now there is a lack of such talent. Wasim believes that T20 and ODI formats are focused more on run-scoring while Test cricket truly determines the spirits.

Wasim Akram also suggested standardizing the boundary distances to make the game fairer. He finally expressed his happy life saying that he has a lovely wife, two sons, and a daughter, they all are happy and so is he.
