2,143 Couples Set World Record for Mass Wedding in India

In the city of Baran, India, something extraordinary happened on May 26. A total of 2,143 couples tied the knot in just under 6 hours, setting two world records. This incredible event surpassed the previous record held by 963 Yemeni couples.

The weddings were organized by a registered trust called Shri Mahaveer Goshala Kalyan Sansthan, whose aim was to support underprivileged couples in starting their married lives. Government officials and religious leaders officiated the ceremonies, and the couples were showered with gifts from the trust, including jewelry, appliances, furniture, and household items. It was a truly special day for all involved.
