Saadi Abbas, a karate athlete from Pakistan, brought pride to his country by winning the International Karate Championship in Montreal, Canada on Sunday.
The prestigious Montreal Open International Karate Championship, held on June 10-11, 2023, showcased impressive skills from participants around the world.
Competing in the 75kg category, Saadi represented Pakistan and emerged as the champion, securing the gold medal for his country with his exceptional karate abilities. Saadi’s journey to victory began with a remarkable win against Iran’s Hamoon Dearfshipur, whom he defeated with a score of 4-2. It is noteworthy that Hamoon had participated in the 2020 Olympics held in Tokyo.
