Group of 20 friends Win Dh15-million  in UAE Big Ticket Prize

A group of 20 Indian expats residing in Umm Al Quwain and Dubai have won the Dh15 million grand prize in Big Ticket’s raffle draw. Nihal Parambath, 28, purchased the winning ticket on behalf of his father-in-law, Mohammed Ali Moideen, 56. Moideen, a resident of UAQ for over 30 years, was away on vacation in Kerala when the announcement was made.

Parambath, a purchasing manager in UAQ, revealed how they pooled money with friends, who faced financial difficulties, to buy an average of 25-30 tickets per month. This unexpected windfall will assist everyone in resolving their financial issues and may even lead to future business endeavors.

Before the grand prize reveal, Parambath fell victim to a prank by his friends, who initially claimed victory. However, he eventually realized their sincerity after verifying the information on the official website and receiving a call from the organizers at Big Ticket.

The group intends to continue purchasing tickets and encourages others to do so in the first week of each month to enhance their chances of winning smaller weekly prizes. Moideen will return from his vacation to collect the Dh15 million prize during the August 3 draw.

Tickets can be acquired online through Big Ticket’s official website or at in-store counters located at Abu Dhabi International Airport and Al Ain Airport. Each ticket costs Dh500, with a complimentary third ticket provided when two are purchased.
