International Cricket Council (ICC) announced a revised schedule for the most anticipated Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 as the two teams of Sri Lanka and Netherlands qualified for the World Cup.
As stated through the ICC website, Sri Lanka beats Netherlands in Harare and will start their World Cup campaign by playing against South Africa at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi on October 7th and will finish the Group Stage campaign against New Zealand in Bengaluru on November 9th.
While Netherlands as runners-up in the Qualifier match will commence their campaign by playing against Pakistan on October 6th in Hyderabad and will finish their Group Stage campaign against India on November 11th at Bengaluru, M. Chinnaswamy stadium.
The tournament will start with a clash between the champions England and New Zealand on October 5th at Narendra Modi Stadium. The final Group Stage battle with take place between Pakistan and England at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
In addition, the first semi-final will be witnessed on November 15th in Mumbai and the second semi-final will take place in Kolkata. The finale of the World Cup 2023 will be held on November 19th in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
The three knock-out fixtures will be only day/night clashes. Moreover, as per the ICC, 10 venues will host the biggest Men’s World Cup 2023 in India.
