President Erdogan Gifts ‘Made in Turkey’ Electric Car to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, went to Saudi Arabia on Monday as part of a trip to three Gulf countries. During his visit, Erdogan met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss ways to make the trade and tourism connections between their countries stronger.

Erdogan also gave the crown prince a Togg, which is Turkey’s first electric car made in their own country. The two countries signed agreements in different areas like energy, defense, research and development, direct investment, and media.

Last year, the trade between Turkey and Saudi Arabia was worth $6.5 billion, and in the first half of 2023, it reached $3.4 billion. Erdogan expressed his hope for this number to increase even more in the future.
