Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls enables Pakistani women to pursue graduate studies in leading HEC-recognized Pakistani institutes. This initiative seeks to enhance women’s access to higher education in STEM, empowering them to realize their fullest potential.
The scholarships cater to both undergraduate and Masters levels of education. The British Council will oversee the administration of the scheme within Pakistan, facilitating interactions between chosen scholars, universities, and designated university focal persons.
The Award
The funding is granted by Scottish government to women of Pakistan studying at an HEC-recognized university. The award-holders are provided with the following perks.
- Tuition fee waiver.
- Accommodation costs.
- Traveling expense to and from home to university twice a year for students staying in on-campus hostels.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the scholarship are the following.
- The scholarship is only for female aspirants.
- Must be Pakistani nationals residing in Pakistan.
- Must be pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree in areas of Education, Sustainable Energy, Food Security and Agriculture, Health Sciences, and STEM.
- Must be holding a confirmed admission offer from an HEC-institute in Pakistan.
- Young girls with disabilities, minorities, and rural areas are exclusively encouraged to apply.
