Pakistan Beats Nepal in Asia Cup Opener

In the opening match of the Asia Cup, Pakistan defeated Nepal by a significant 238-run margin. Pakistan set a high total of 342 for 6 while batting first. Shaheen Shah Afridi made a strong start by taking two wickets in the very first over, leading Nepal to be bowled out for 104.

Shadab Khan had an impressive performance, taking 4 wickets for 27 runs in 6.4 overs. Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf also bowled well. Aarif Sheikh (26) and Sompal Kami (28) tried to resist, but Nepal’s innings ended in just 23.4 overs.

Earlier, Pakistan’s total was powered by Babar Azam’s 151 runs and Iftikhar Ahmed’s unbeaten 109. They had a remarkable partnership of 214 runs for the fifth wicket.
