Something really amazing happened in the world of sports. Scientists at the University of Zurich made a smart computer called Swift AI. This AI learned to fly a drone super fast through a tricky 3D racecourse without crashing.
What’s incredible is that this AI won 15 out of 25 races against human world champions. It’s the first time a computer has beaten a champion in a sport that’s usually just for people.
The sport they’re talking about is drone racing. People control drones with cameras on them, and they have to fly them through gates without crashing. The champions were impressed by the computer but also said it’s tough to compete against a machine that never gets tired.
