Toyota is stepping up its efforts to create Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) to compete with EV-focused brands like Tesla and General Motors. In July, Toyota announced its electric vehicle roadmap, which included EVs with a range of over 621 miles (1,000 kilometers).
As part of this initiative, Toyota has unveiled concept versions of the Toyota Land Cruiser Se and EPU Pickup EVs. These vehicles will be showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2023, starting on October 25.
Toyota introduced the electric “Beyond Zero” (bZ) brand a few years ago, with the bZ4X becoming one of their prominent BEVs in 2021. The company plans to sell 1.7 million of the 3.5 million BEVs it aims for by 2030 as next-generation vehicles.
