Etihad Rail and Adnoc are teaming up to link Abu Dhabi and Al Dhannah through new railway services. Al Dhannah, situated 250km west of Abu Dhabi, will see enhanced transportation, especially for Adnoc staff.
Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan commended Etihad Rail’s commitment to superior passenger experiences. And Dr Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Adnoc’s CEO, stressed their dedication to sustainable transport and infrastructure.
The collaboration aims to cut emissions, aligning with Adnoc’s Net Zero by 2045 target. Etihad Rail’s ongoing passenger services development plans to connect 11 cities at speeds of 200kmph. Operational since 2016, the project targets 36.5 million passengers annually by 2030, promoting efficient and eco-friendly transport in the UAE.
