A really damaged and old piece of metal that used to be a Ferrari race car was sold for a huge $1.9 million at an auction. Even though it might sound surprising, buying it isn’t a bad idea, especially if the person wants more than just money – they get a part of racing history and a chance to make their own mark.
This car, a 1954 Ferrari Mondial Spider Series I, is special because they only made 13 of them. It’s different from the usual Ferrari cars with a V12 engine. Instead, it has a different design and a smaller four-cylinder engine.
It was made for tricky tracks with lots of turns and not many straight parts, so having a lighter engine is really good.
