A Girl Abtaha Maqsood, Who Plays Cricket Wearing Hijab

England’s cricket tournament and Scotland’s hijab cricketer is being discussed a lot on social media.

Abtaha Maqsood, a 24-year-old Pakistani, plays for Birmingham Phoenix team of England’s domestic cricket tournament ‘The Hundred’ and she also plays international cricket wearing a hijab for her country Scotland.

According to foreign media, Abtaha Maqsood recently participated in a children’s TV program wearing a hijab, where he also read some excerpts from a book about Islamic traditions.

Abtaha Maqsood said that this shows us why it is important for Muslim women to wear the veil and hijab, hijab is your clear identity as a Muslim, and it also proves that you are Bahia.

The Pakistani-origin cricketer said that there was no problem in playing cricket wearing hijab, it does not hinder and I keep playing without hesitation wearing it.

“I think it’s very important, it’s about Haya and it really recognizes who I am and I’m proud to be a Muslim,” she added.
