In a frightening occurrence, a staff nurse at Karachi’s Civil Hospital was detained for stealing a patient by injecting the patient with an anaesthetic, which temporarily impairs feeling or consciousness.
According to information, on March 17, the suspect gave a patient in the cardiology department anaesthetic before robbing her.
The victim, a lady, afterwards informed the civil hospital administration about the occurrence, and they promptly began an inquiry.
With the use of CCTV video, the hospital administration and security officials acted quickly to capture the culprits.
In response to the victim’s allegation, a case was also opened, and the medical professional was later criticised by the police for what they deemed to be a “abhorrent” behaviour against a sick patient.
