About 1,538 Water Filtration Plants to be Installed in Province, says Governor Punjab

On Sunday in the reception organized by the Governor of Punjab in honor of the provincial ministers and the MPAs, Chaudhry Sarwar explained to them the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority scheme to guarantee the supply of pure drinking water to the entire province.

According to the sources, Provincial Ministers Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed, Noman Langrial, Hussain Bukhari, Hussain Jahanian Gardezi, Dr. Akhtar Malik, Mian Khalid Mahmood, Fayyaz-ul- Hassan Chohan, Ansar Majeed Niazi, Ajmal Cheema, Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din, Raja Rashid Hafeez, Khayal Ahmed Castro, Sardar Muhammad Asif Nakai, and many MPAs were present on the occasion.

According to the governor Punjab statement, after two years of Punjab, civil bureaucracy, at last, had come on the same page with the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority.

He also assured all the MPAs that clarity would be guaranteed in these ventures. “I will allow no one to take or give a commission on these projects,” he said.

Governor further added that with no political bias filtration plants would set up in all provincial electorates of Punjab and pure drinking water would be provided to all whether they are from govt party or the opposition party. 

“We do not believe in temporary solutions, so we are taking steps to resolve the problems permanently.” Said Chaudry Sarwar.

All the present parliamentarians praised the governor and the authority responsible for attempting to provide clean drinking water to the areas.

Previously, Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority President Dr. Shakeel Ahmed and Executive Director Syed Zahid Aziz gave a detailed briefing on the projects to the audience.
