Abu Dhabi Announces Free Parking, No Toll Charges For Eid Al Adha 2023 Holidays

Abu Dhabi has some great news for residents and visitors during the upcoming Eid Al Adha 2023 holidays. Parking fees and toll charges will be completely waived for four days starting from Tuesday. The Integrated Transport Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport made the announcement, stating that MAWAQiF surface parking fees will be free from Tuesday, June 27, 2023, until 7:59 am on Saturday, July 1, 2023. The Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot will also offer free parking during the Eid holiday.

To ensure smooth parking, drivers are urged to use designated parking areas and avoid parking in residential spaces between 9 pm and 8 am. In addition, the Darb toll gate system will be free of charge starting from Tuesday. Toll gate fees will only be reinstated after the Eid holiday, on Saturday, July 1, during peak hours (7 am to 9 am and 5 pm to 7 pm). The toll gates play a crucial role in maintaining a steady traffic flow during busy periods.

During the holidays, the Customers’ Happiness Centres across the emirate will be closed but will resume their regular working hours on Monday. On the other hand, public buses will continue to operate according to their regular schedule, with an increase in regional bus trips based on demand during the Eid holidays. Private sector operators have also collaborated with the Integrated Transport Centre to offer more intercity bus services.

For those relying on public transportation, the Abu Dhabi Express and Abu Dhabi Link bus services will be available from 6 am to 11 pm throughout the Eid holidays. To access service timings for buses, public transport services, and other Integrated Transport Centre services, you can visit itc.gov.ae or contact the Service Support Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport on the toll-free number 800850 or via the Darbi smart app. ITC services are also available through the ‘TAMM’ platform. For taxi services, customers can contact the Taxi Call Centre at 600535353, which operates 24/7.
