Lahore Qalandars have officially signed Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman as a direct signing ahead of PSL season 11.
The left-arm pacer was secured for PKR 6.44 crore before the official player draft took place. This move comes as PSL teams are now focusing more on direct signings after completing their player retentions.
Mustafizur Rahman is not new to the Lahore Qalandars. He previously played for the team in the 2016 and 2018 seasons.
His return is expected to strengthen Lahore’s bowling attack, as he brings experience, control, and variation with his left-arm pace. Known for his clever cutters and ability to perform in pressure situations, Mustafizur is seen as a valuable addition to the squad.
The Qalandars believe his presence will help balance their bowling lineup and provide more options during crucial matches. As teams finalize their combinations for the upcoming PSL season, such signings are becoming very important.
Meanwhile, other franchises are also making strong moves. Karachi Kings have signed England all-rounder Moeen Ali as a direct signing for PKR 6.44 crore. Moeen’s ability to contribute with both bat and ball makes him a key player for the Kings.
In another major signing, Australian star batter Steve Smith has joined Sialkot Stallionz as a direct signing. His inclusion adds experience and stability to their batting lineup.
These high-profile signings show that teams are actively building strong squads ahead of PSL 11. With the season approaching, excitement continues to grow as franchises prepare to compete for the title.
