The couple who slept there left the taps running and the gas on, leaving the Airbnb owner with a bill for $1,570. When they couldn’t cancel their reservation, the guests supposedly did this as revenge. To avenge the host, the Chinese couple had flown to South Korea and spent 25 days there. The incident left the host, who is named Mr. Lee, with a high utility bill.
According to Mr. Lee, both of them handled everything on their own and never spoke to him or Airbnb. They initially got in touch with the host to find out whether there were any security cameras on the premises. They turned on as many lights, taps, electrical devices, and gas taps as they could after Mr Lee said there weren’t any.
The host added that the pair toured around South Korea rather than staying at the establishment. According to Mr. Lee, they only came back five times in 25 days, each time just staying for five minutes.
